Project

Vienos dienos atostogos (One Day Holiday) offers curated walking tours through the architectural gems of interwar Kaunas — the second biggest city in Lithuania that stands as a living museum of European Art Deco. The client, a passionate local guide, shares the stories behind the facades: personal histories, cultural shifts, and the legacy of a city that thrived during the interwar years.

The goal was to design a logo that captures the elegance and spirit of this unique cultural experience. Inspired by the geometric lines and ornamental details of Art Deco, the logo reflects the city’s rich architectural heritage. It also carries a sense of movement and curiosity — an invitation to explore, observe, and connect with the past.

In 2023, Kaunas earned World Heritage status as the only European city representing large-scale urbanization during the interwar period through its versatile modernist architecture.

This identity celebrates that legacy — offering a visual bridge between the historical grandeur of Kaunas and the intimate storytelling of guided urban exploration.

As a part of this project a website was created with a focus on accessibility, usability and simplicity.

Inspiration

Background pattern

Logo variations

four variations of vienos dienos atostogos logo: beige text logo on the dark green background, dark green text logo on the mustard background and on the beige background. The last is white text logo on the dark green background.

Website

A fully responsive website was created as part of this visual identity project. It was built with WordPress using Gutenberg blocks to ensure flexibility, clarity, and long term maintainability. The design follows the same visual direction as the brand, combining modern simplicity with subtle Art Deco references so the digital experience supports the atmosphere of the guided tours.

Special attention was given to accessibility. The website was developed and tested according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
